hi, i was thinking of buying the linksys WRT54GL router because of the firmware thing. i want to know with any of the updates is it possible to monitor and limit the speed of the internet to the pc's connected to the router. for example i want one pc to have .5mb/s, another pc to have .5mb/s and the final pc to have the remaining 2mb/s.

WRT54G GS works that way so if there is third party firmware for it. yes you can. if there is no third party firmware then no. not yet.

you will be using the QOS stuff in the router. most 3rd party firmwares have this.
