first of all I want to apologize for my poor english but there are no (good) forums in my language and I really could use some help on this one.

My router is a WRT54GL, It worked pretty well at first (just got it today) but I had to reset and change a lot of settings (turns out that setting up a repeater for a Noxon 2 Audio isn't all that easy  ). Anyways, even while setting up everything the router somtimes crashed and I had to reset the thing.

And now it doesn't work anymore on my PC, I just can't connect with I tried ipconfig /release and /renew with no results.
It does however work with another PC downstairs, the only problem tho is that as soon as I change the IP adress I can't connect back to the router. Release and renew don't work and I got NO idea what to do.

I would reeeaaaalllllyyy appreciate some thoughts/help.

    Greetings from Germany

Your English is perfect, and welcome to Tomato ! DHCP in general will sometimes have problems keeping track of addresses and staying organized. Toward the end of your post I started loosing track of which router you say is doing what. When the PC downstairs is working, is it working with a DHCP address or a static address ? When the downstairs PC is working, can you log into the router ?

Edit - Corrected "router" to "PC".

    thanks for your reply!

I got it to work now (weee :) ), I forgot that router and lan card need the same subnet mask.

Nice forum btw, have fun and thanks again.
