I have a WRT54G v2 and just insatlled HyperWRT v2.0b3. Moving to dynamic IP soon and got an account with dyndns. Would like to automate the touching of my dyndns account with out having a client run on a computer. Can this be done with HyperWRT yet or do I need to pay and get sveasoft firmware?

DDNS works fine for me. v2.0b3

I had DDNS running for about a year before I discovered hyperWRT (last week). I installed the new hyper firmware and everything, including DDNS, continued running as before.

    Excellent work guys, very impressive.

any update on this? DynDNS.org would rather you only 'touch' your account every time your IP changes or after 30 days but before the 35th day expiration if your IP hasn't changed. They consider any updates more frequent than that abuse and grounds for termination. How strict they are about that, I don't know, but I'd rather abide by the rules than have to find out, hehe.

Anyways, does HyperWRT take care of this for you, or do you have to do something manually? I know my account needs 'touching' again in a day or so, since I just got an email stating it's about to expire soon. I've already got it setup in the WRT's settings, but this will be the first time it needs updating since I installed HyperWRT.
