Custom Micro version

Discussion in 'DD-WRT Firmware' started by lotsoffreetime, Jul 11, 2007.

  1. First off would like to thank in advance for any help given :)

Alright down to the facts: Current Setup
    WRT54GS v5 running DD-WRT v23 SP2 Micro

Now that being said, yes i 'am aware of the 2MB flash, and 8MB with 16MB RAM available to my model. My current situation/ dilemma is simple, being this is not my main router, it is one i play with on the side with my laptop. Is there a way to fully customize the firmware itself so i can get rid of all the things i currently do not need ie radius for starters just not something I personally have a use for, and in turn trade out for packages i do want say like SSH and maybe even a kismet drone. I have no problem whatsoever with doing the work myself, mererly looking for advice or any kind of help that may point me to in the right direction.

*Edit* Also would like to ask, seeing how it is already been upgraded to linux , i have no problem changing firmware versions either ie to a custom OpenWRT, its just as it stand DD-WRT added the most functionality for the time being.
