The WAN setup/configuration web screen now has an option to enable/disable spanning tree on the WAN interface.

I use Time Warner Road Runner cable as my ISP - what are the advantages or disadvantages to enabling or disabling this option??

    Thanks

just look it up on google[web:2afd474719]http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=spanning+tree+protocol[/web:2afd474719]

This is the most understandable definition without being complex [web:2afd474719]http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/S/spanning_tree_protocol.html[/web:2afd474719]

I was not asking what STP was - I was asking if anyone knew if enabling it had any benifits to Time Warner Road Runner configurations
