I have a WRT v2.x with DD-WRT #22 prefinal4 (Talismen) loaded. It's set to assign client IPs and everything seems to work fine for a while, but I noticed early on that it would lock up once in a while, so I set it to reboot every night, just to make sure that in the AM it's ok. Recently I've noticed that my client will drop, sometime in the night and can't be revived.

    Client is running XP SP2
Network is -- Cable modem to switch, switch to Linux client and to router (I have two public IPs). From the Router I go to another switch for all of my LAN clients.

Issue: DHCP and IP lost at night, no internet connection

    Ipconfig /release .../renew -- doesn't work error, can't find DHCP server
remove cable, replace cable -- same, no connection, no IP
I hard code an IP Address into the client...but still can't hit the router
finally, I switched ports on the switch and...with a hard coded IP I could see the router's web page.
I then tried to get a DHCP address...no go.
Finally I rebooted the router and everything is ok again.

This has happened 3 times in the last week.
