First of all this is a great forum and I'm a newbie here so if my question has been addressed already I apologize. so much here to see and absorb!

I curererntly run one of the older WRT54G's with DD-WRT's firmware. It's been flawless even with the transmit pimped way up for over a year now. I recently bought a new WRT54G a month or so ago and find I can't flash the firmaware because Lynksys has changed things in these newer models.

My question is has DD-WRT or anyone yet found a fix for this and have new firmware available? Even DD-WRT's site confuses me on this issue.

Again I apologize if this has been adressed here already. I have a lot of navigation and things to leqarn here. Thanks in advance. Great site and have a great holidays!:)

On edit the new WRT54G has a serial# that begind witjh the infamous "CDFD"

The new WRT54G versions 5 and 6 really suck as far as routers go. Version 7 is not even supported for DD-WRT. HERE is a link to a tutorial for flashing v5 and v6 routers. You can only load the micro version, they dont have enough RAM and Flash Memory to load the standard.

You have a version 6. The serial number starts with CDFD

But HERE a helpful wiki page for WRT54G's
