It sounds like this is more of a test release, so at BrainSlayers request I'm not going to push this to the front news page yet.

If you guys are willing to have at it, please do, and send your comments on their way to BrainSlayer.

When I get the go ahead that he's confident this is for more general consumption I'll let the world know - until then - eat it up here in the forums!

For the reasons that I posted above - he doesn't believe that this is ready for public consumption yet, but wanted to give some of more advanced/adventurous users a head start and an opportunity to get the good feedback that our users tend to give ;-)

This is only for those willing to risk messing with it and are comfortable with reviving a bricked router, as should be the case and warning with all pre-release or beta software/firmware.

I'm guessing we'll see a stable public release on Monday or Tuesday which I will post up to the front page upon its release.

HeartBeat is working for me right now, thanks for fixing that so quickly and releasing it so soon.

I'm looking forward to using the QOS feature on my router, but in this firmware ethernet prioritization has no effect at all. Even if i set the ports to disabled, it does not work on my v2.2 WRT54G.

Also, what's the command syntax for ping via router's cmd prompt?
I know traceroute command, but i can't get ping to work
    ping on.net
    ping -c 5 on.net
    ???

Thanks again for patching heart beat.

I am not sure if my router is a brick now, but all I have is a blinking power light right now. Should have waited before upgrading. :(

Alreadt trying that but I can't get it to ping properly after manually setting IP, resetting router, reducing to 10 half duplex, and connecting directly. So unless I can get it to ping correctly, I am out of luck.

Jagboy, I am basically in the situation that you were in back in January (found by searching forum). Can't get it to ping for the life of me. Additionally, everytime I hold down the reset button for 30-60 seconds, nothing happens.

then try grounding pins 15 and 16! after this my reset button worked again!
