Some problems that I need be verified. For testing purposes before use dd-wrt in a production environtment, I always flashed new prereleases WITHOUT reseting the devices (because in production they are some kilometers far away and are many devices). Could the problem be this (I'm not discuss that this were the problem ok?).

The problem, detected with offical prerelease 5 were that devices using channels from 1 to 4, LOSSES THEY CONECTION.

Under this circunstances I take a look the config and togle some values and I had verified:
    1) This problem don't depend on Authentification or cipher method.
    2) This problem don't depend on Mixed/only-b/only-g modes.
    3) This problem don't depend on client/ap (with/without wds links).
    4) This problem don't depend on what firmware had the device before flash prerelease 5 (official).

In this moments I'm testing if "30 second button reset" (before and after reflashing the device) is the cause.

I'm very interested if someone have the same problem as me.

Same issue with "button reset" before and after reflash prerelease 5

if you cant or have problems with channels 1-4 then why dont you try another channel.

or before you flashed with pre 5 did channels 1-4 work properly.

In the production environtment, I have nodes with 1 AP and 4 wds links. Here, in spanish, we have 1-13 channels and I use 1,4,7,10,13 channels without problems.

That is why I had tests with all channels, because I need all channels.
In our actual production env, we have prerelease 4 without problems.

    Any suggestion?

I am using channel 4 without any problems here.
I do have problems with high channel numbers >11 but thats because my wireless eth card cant seem to handle them, maybe yours has the same problem with low channels ?
Or maybe there is interference from other devices in your area.

No, discharged, these tests were done and there no problem with ETSI channels or interferences in the area (kismet & netstumbler say us that).

    Any help more?

The devices are many GS (diferent versions), and G from 2.0 version.

    Channels 1-4 ... ?interferences there?

Thanks for your replies guys, I think I found the problem: Interferences.

The same devices in another place (two towns ago), have no problem with the same channels and configuration.

If anybody think what could be the problem, please ¡¡say us!!, we are very interested in find the REAL PROBLEM.

heat possibly????? could try swapping some of the routers between the towns and see if the problem occurs with the known working hardware.

I think could be any interferences, the same devices (the same routers were place swapped).

... Check if there are any DECT-Phones around (1 issue here) and ... dont laugh please ... dont position the WRT near a TV (that issue stopped me 2 1/2 days)

I have a problem with the channels too !

I'm using a wrt2.2 with dd-wrt pre5, and i've discovered that the channels 6 and 7 do not work at all. The ssid cannot be found at all.

When I change the channel for the 1 or the 10 , it'ok.

    What is the reason ?
