I'm going to try this once I get home from work. I just saw that JFFS2 was working now! Woohoo. Has anyone notice if the wireless is stable? I have had problems with disconnects with prefinal 3.2 (I think it was causing the disconnects). Doesn't help that I have numerous APs in the house!

Thanks for the hard work BrainSlayer.

    thanks!

Hats off to you! Awesome firmware version!

I have a WRT54G v2.2 at home. Was running dd-wrt 3.2, flashed to 3.3 and then to 4. All of a sudden, my PPTP server running on the router started to work!!!! In 3.2 release, this didn't work for me. Now in release 4, it is working!

    Thanks for this!

thnx, but i am not happy after flashing. Because Port fields are only 13 and Port Triggering only 10. :(

Yes, unless you want a writeable jffs2 partition. Then you apparently have to use basic with the"G" routers. Of course you have no ssh or remote access to the console anyways. So what's the point!

Now I have to go back to full version and not have writeable partition.

i think that the basic is only good for tftp when you brick you router because it is under 2mb. no more satori for tftp :D

I believe I found a bug in pre4 version related to MAC addresses.

If you configure it in client mode and then go to the status page and look at the MAC address for the wireless it actually gives you the MAC for the router.

If you look at the router MAC address, it gives you the address for the wireless.

I found this out by looking at the connected MAC address table on my Linksys BEFW11S4. I found that it showed MAC address as one lower than what I thought the radio should have.

Client mode turns these things around in such a way that everything seems backwards so this is not much of a suprise.

thats no bug. since the client mode is a routed client mode you'll get the router mac adress. in bridge mode it would be the wireless mac, but i havent implemented this mode yet

    forgot something??

    Hi,

    I just uploaded dd-wrt.v22.prefinal4.bin to my wrt54gs v1.1.
Working well so far but I miss "vi". Is it not part of dd-wrt firmware anymore?
    How to edit now?

Initiated jffs2 with mount to /jffs and found some stuff in there
--> /jffs/tmp/ipkg but did not create the dirs. What for are they?

    Regards

    Snow

    Access Restrictions - Broken

The Access Restrictions is broken. I have my kid's system listed under a restrictions rule - only between certain hours can they access the internet. Well, it can still access it, even during the hour that it shouldn't.

BrainSlayer's site appears to be about scene demos (pretty cool =D> ) but I can't see any links for firmwares.

its excellent firmware by brainslayer already, but i found some minor bugs, bugs that wont stop whole operation. but still require reset. keep on working and lets all make it a better and better firmware.
