I've hit a roadblock on setting up a Lorex video server, and was hoping someone here might know what my problem is. My router is the Linksys WRT54G though I don't think it's the problem. I've setup an account with dyndns.org and the host name url that it gives me, i.e. ***dyndns.org gets to the login screen on the video router but after putting in a valid username and password I get a microsoft IE error which says "you have not permission to access home.htm"

If I use my numerical IP address in the address bar of my browser, not the 192.168 number behind the firewall but the IP number I get using whatismyip.com, it goes to the same login screen and after putting in a valid username and password it proceeds to the live video cam screen like it's supposed to.

I've had my dad whose on the other side of town try all this and it does the same thing, no go on the ***dyndns.org but works fine with the whatismyip.com number in the address bar.

So does anyone know how I can get the dyndns.org address to work?

    Thanks,
    John G

it could be a firewall option. try to uncheck :block wan requests" in the firewall tab of the router setup page.

I've tried turning off the router firewall and it didn't fix it. Thanks though. Any other suggestions?

I believe it's the right port considering it opens the servers own special login page.
