    Deal on E1000s

Compuplus deal now expired, deal still valid as of now

Possibly a good deal for some. I got one to supplement my Asus RT-N16 as a wireless bridge to add some faster ports to a remote part of the house.

So I just bought this E1000, which I'm typing through right now, from Compuplus for $19.99. I was really hoping it was a V1 so I could load Tomato although there was no guarantee one way or the other. I got lucky and it was a v1. Today is that last day of that pricing if you want to take a chance although there is no way I can promise you'll get a v1 as well. If you get a v2, you're stuck with the factory firmware. If I had it to do over again, I might have gotten it from instead for $21.99 as they have a 45 day return policy to cover me if I didn't get a v1.

You can find some reviews on Newegg, Amazon, Small Net Builder,, best buy, etc.

Some of the critical specs are:
    Broadcom BCM4716 (300MHz) Intensi-fi XLR 802.11n (b/g/n) 2.4 GHz Router System-on-Chip
    Broadcom BCM5325 10/100 switch (4 LAN 1 WAN ports)
    32 MB of RAM
    4 MB of flash
