Hi. I'm using a WRT54G router with Alchemy Final 1.0 firmware.
I have to computers in my network - desktop conectet to the router by a cable and laptop (centrino based) using an Intel 2200gb wifi card (driver's rev. 9.xx - the newest one caused many problems so I downgraded it).
    The problem is as follows:
Whever I try to copy anyting from a laptop to a shared directory on the desktop computer after several secods I get the windows warning "delayed write failed. some data may be lost ...etc.", signal strength drops to poor and the transfer fails. After some time everything comes back to normal.
The other strange thing is that the maximum transfer I'm able to get is 2mb/s inspite of the fact that the wifi is running on 54mbits having an excellent signal level.
Both computers have Win Xp Pro installed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

delayed write failures will have absolutely nothing to do with your network setup, in any way, shape, or form.
