I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be at all possible to do any coding on a windows box without the aid of cygwin for my wrt54g v2.0/4.0. I am an MSDN subscriber and have all the tools such as Visual Studios and the like. Also I do not have a spare box to set up with linux atm either so that is not an option. I am currently looking into cross compilation tools and emulators.

Also I have vmware Would that work? If so what is a good distro that I could use?

you can't code in windows, it's linux only afaik
vmware would work just fine, albeit a little slower than using it natively. i use Kubuntu linux on my windoze box.

Thanks for the replies. I have been messing with which distro to use, and am not getting to far. I am finding out the hard way that M$ virtual PC is not meant to run linux. i am getting farther than I thought I would though. If you all see anything else I mught like, let me know.
