DHCP problem with my WRV54G

My WRV54G does not seem to dole out DHCP addresses correctly. If it has just been rebooted it seems to give out addresses ok. It will continue to work fine throughout the working day, but by the next morning with no traffic overnight, it cannot be seen as a DHCP server by any clients and needs rebooting again.

The gateway IP address is set to 192.168.0.3 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. The DHCP is enabled with a start address of 192.168.0.20 and the number of addresses set to 235. The range shows up correctly as 192.168.0.20 ~ 254. The DNS is set to our ISPs primary DNS.

I tried disabling the DHCP and running DHCP on one of our W2K servers, but then all the clients fail to see the internet.

Can anyone spot my dumb mistake?

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Why does the on-screen help say you can set the 'lease time for each address', when I can't see that setting anywhere?

Does RIP need to be enabled?

    Firmware: 2.37EU
    Modem: ADSL2MUE (bridged mode)
    Connection: PPPoE

    Any help hugely appreciated...
