I have a piece of thin client hardware that expects to get one piece of configuration by dhcp besides the usual network parameters. It expects the address of a remote server via DHCP option 49 (X Window Display Manager). Is the DHCP server in this or any other firmware or even any other cable/dsl router flexible enough to server this option? Alternately, it could be done using dhcp-relay with the remote dhcp server handling option 49. So same question, does this firmware have the ability to serve the standard network parameters as well as pass back the address of a configured dhcp-relay for the rest? If not what about any other firmware for this or other dsl/cable router?
