Hi all you guys first post here but i'm desperate...

I got a linksys wrt54gs v.6 yesterday and went and tried to install the ddwrt firmware... i followed the instructions to the letter but i think i know have a pretty good looking brick.

-the power led is flashing constantly.
but i am able to ping the device @192.168.1.1 AND upload a firmware using tftp
    (tftp -i -t1 192.168.1.1 PUT code.bin code.bin)

-i Can't access it through telnet or webinterface though.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is it new and from a local store? Just return it for an exchange and start over.

If not the flashing power led might be a sign of bad things to come. Does it still have the original fw installed? Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds with power on. Wait a minute and see if light stops blinking.

But your best bet would be to return it to the retailer you bought it from and exchange for a new one or get a refund and purchase a WRT54GL

    JMHO - :)
