I badly need the diff command, but it is unfortunately not included in the Tomato 1.21 release I am currently using in my Linksys WRT54GL. Any suggestions? Any idéas?

If I want to implement the diff command myself, where do I find some kind of firmware development kit for the Linksys WRT54GL?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

The SDK is right on the main Tomato download page.

You actually might find it be as easy as changing the options on the makefile for BusyBox to enable it's diff option.

I have not looked to see what would be needed, but BusyBox DOES include diff as one of it's commands.

Thanks a lot for your valuable answers. I have found and installed the necessary code and tools. But unfortunately the building process does not work on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Some binary files can not be executed.

Is there any way to make it work? Or do I have to run the building process in a Linux environment?

    Thanks a lot in advance!
