    Hi all,

Is it possible to disable the WiFi on startup, so I can enable it later with the front button. I am using a Linksys WRT54GL with Tomato 1.21.

In the ''basic'' settings you have in Tomato an option ''enable wireless''. Unclick it then reboot.

Sorry, but if I do that then the wireless won't get enabled with the front button.

You could try downing the eth1 interface using an ifconfig eth1 down command in the Init scripts. I don't know if this will allow you to retart eth1 'on demand' using the button though...

Added to Administration -> Scripts -> Init, but for some reason it's not working (the wireless keeps enabled).

you have any other scripts in there? If not put a line with sleep 5 in before the ifconfig.

you can test the ifconfig command by logging in via telnet or SSH and running it from there...does the eth1 interface go down (wireless turn off?)

    Did you try it?
First try! and then...we will talk. (when you will push the front button, will enable wireless-100% certain)

I got it! I just needed to add the "sleep 5" before the "ifconfig eth1 down" line :)

    Thanks all!
