Every time I've tried disabling SES and making the Cisco button a toggle (mainly for the orange light to go away), my WRT54GS v. 4 seems to stop working in wireless ethernet bridge mode. Yes, the WLAN light is on, but the devices connected to it no longer work on my LAN. As soon as I re-enable SES, the problem goes away. I noticed this first with 13d, and again with 14.

    duh
that's because when ses is disabled, the button turns the wireless on and off

Judging by the rude and elementary response, I take it you didn't read my post entirely.

Of course I turned the wireless on.

i'm not going to get into a shouting match with you. suffice to say all you have to do to turn off the amber led is issue the command "led amber off". if you set it into your startup script, that should be enough
