Disk Management Utilities

    Does anyone know of disk management utilities (besides Scandisk thru LinkSys)? I contacted first level support and they barely knew of the product. Norton and System Mechanic won't touch it.

    Use linux ?

    Cant you download a bootable linux distro on your pc, and connect the harddrive to that?

    ...and then use the linux disc utils, like chkfs ?

    Thanks for the reply. I was hoping there was a more user friendly (i.e. newbie) product to use. Should I be concerned with chkdsk, fdisk, and defraging? I use large databases >8GB (4X2GB relationally) that I like to have the disks defragged whenever possible. Does anyone know if using Access compact and repair actually defrags the db? Thanks.
