is DNScrypt working with DD-WRT? I want to use DNScrypt.eu for that.
I know in the dd-wrt.com forum I've seen an explanation on how to set this up manually if you search there. They actually use some binaries I've made, and is similar to my walk-through on this site, but for tomato. You can get it done in either distribution if you want, but so far it's not available through the gui for anything other than opendns. I'm hoping to change that sometime though.
I see many random posts there which mention this, but do not see an unambiguous installation guide. I do not even see where the 3 downloaded files should be placed in the JFFS directory structure. And is the MIPSEL binary supposed to work on all MIPS hardware?
I can not find this option in the DD-WRT web interface. There is nothing on the Wiki or the forum which explains how to activate this feature through the GUI. Can you please state exactly where it is by posting the path to this setting from the DD-WRT web interface?
PS: your forum refused to let me post this message because it (allegedly) contained a "sneaky" URL. So how did you get away with mentioning the URL for 'DD-WRT' in your post if the forum software prohibits this ?
It's been a while since I've used dd-wrt. As far as I know, dd-wrt has not done any integration of dnscrypt into the gui.
You can more or less follow this guide.
This is specifically for tomato, so you will have to adjust for where these settings are found in dd-wrt. The guide involves a few steps that might take some research on your part.
Formatting the /jffs partition. (probably easy)
Placing the binary in /jffs, and making it executable.
Adding the appropriate wanup/startup and dnsmasq custom configs for dd-wrt.
You may want to ask in the dd-wrt specific forum for help. I now exclusively use tomato, which various distributions now include dnscrypt with my selectable/manuallly entered server enhancements.
