Hello, Is it posible to make a rewrite routine for dnsmasq ?!? I want to use my tomato router as a dns-relae, to another dns.. a request for eksp. www.google.com should be rewriten to localip.www.google.com (192.168.1.20.www.google.com) or even better as an INT (integer) like 57234234745.www.google.com Is that posible ?!? Yours Allan
If you're setting it up as a DNS relay, why not simply do your DNS confabulation on the destination DNS server? Or are you trying to track DNS queries from specific systems?
So in other words you're trying to track requests from specific devices? If you don't need to perform a NAT translation - in other words if the upstream DNS server is also on a NAT, or in a DMZ where you can route to/from your NAT network, you could disable NAT in Tomato and have each system query the upstream DNS server directly. Then you'd see each system's IP address in the query.
I need the nat translation.. i only got one ip at the wan site, and need to track the local ip's in the dns log file at the cloud DNS server
