Does the 44 build support the Asus rt-n16? Reason I ask is I tried installing
tomato-1.27-ndusb-8744-ext.rar (yes I expanded) and bricked the router. Could not get the Asus recover utility to work. Was able to get the router back by tftp asus then dd-wrt then upgrade to tomato-ndusb-9042rtn16-beta02-ext.trx. Actually renamed to .bin to upgrade. This is the version of Tomato I was running prior to the attempted upgrade.
Won't try again without knowing if it should work.

No, the regular 2.4-kernel based USB mod does NOT work on any router with MIPS release 2 CPU. For Asus RT-N16, RT-N12, Netgear WNR3500L, use the 2.6-based mod from this thread.

The current version - beta05 - is newer than the one you're using.

Thanks for the info, teddy_bear. Love Tomato and your mod for the rt-n16 and Vectek's for my wrt54gl.
    I'll look into the beta05.
Don't know how you folks do it, but I am glad you can and do!

Thanks again teddy_bear. I have just put beta5 on the rt-n16. I did see one post about dropping ppoe connection. Will keep you posted if I experience this problem on the regular thread.
