Does RAF Tomato have QoS fixed?

Seems its the only modified tomato my router (WRT54G 1.1) will run. Tried SHibby, and Toastmans without success (another thread created for that) but I was wondering if the RAF version has global QoS like the other 2? I like the idea of 80mbps throughput on wifi but really need a good QoS on this router!!! Don't care about VPN, Or usb ect.. just stable router with working QoS... SO Netflix, torrents, and web ect work right

With QoS on that router your throughput will be considerably less, maybe 15mbps or so.

So RAF does total QoS as in inbound and outbound? I am assuming I need to upgrade my router but I though the earlier g series would run all the modified firmwares as the gl and gs?

Check the date on the RAF version, the high speed (wired connection) one was a Christmas pressie from Victek a few years ago, there has been little development on firmwares for 4MB flash firmwares for a while, since USB/IPV6 etc really need K2.6 and later drivers. Wireless to LAN connections on wireless-G would never do better that 20-30MB/s, wireless-wireless halves that for starters (half-duplex comms). QOS and L7 filters do limit maximum throughput, add PPPoE and wireless encryption and the router will be a bottleneck. Speedbooster GS was a software/marketing ploy, but early GS had double flash and ram. The GL (GSV4) was definitely able to run ND wireless drivers, earlier wireless core_rev versions either had no benefit or would crash.

What internet speed up/down are you trying to manage? Stock Tomato QOS used to work better that original firmwares, or dd-wrt - but correct configuration is important.

WAN-LAN for Tomato RAF with WRT54GL .. (not WRT54G version 1.1) was 30Mbps, I assume your CPU performance is much less.
I saw you opened another post, as mentioned, depending of your Internet speed WRT54G v1.1 is a wrong election.

thanks for all the QUICK response. I will try that tonight. ALso I am going to get a new router, this is what I have so far the 1.1 so I am trying to work with it. Just for use at home with exede satellite internet. I want to limit the torrents so Netflix ect works and can browse the web. the speeds advertised is 12Mbps/ 1up I believe

btw I am running RAF build with the bandwith limiter option which seems impressive over stock tomato. Does his build have the good qos like the shibby and toastman?

Yes, but don't run QoS and BW limiter simultaneously, it conflicts.

So it does have inbound qos?

Tomato has always had "incoming QOS" .... ;)

But if you mean, does it have the latest mods to the QOS ingress using an IMQ device for more effective operation and bandwidth limits, yes, I think all of the mods now have it.
