Does this network layout work

    I'm a bit of a novice in teh network area so before I redo my network I would like to know if this is feasible.

    CableModem-> WAP54G -> 802.11g -> WRT54G -> Several computers

    I know I can switch this around and put the WRT54G closest to the cable modem but I could use the ethernet ports at the remote location.

    Thanks -- Jeff

    Hi Jeff -
    Yes, I think that works, as long as there's a WDS mode in the OpenWRT firmware and your WAP54G is V1.0. Check this link out

    for the work that I just finished that makes a network identical in most respects to yours but using a pair of WRT54GS rather than a WAP54G and a WRT54G.
