I've noticed that when ever there is data coming down to my PC, there is lots of activity on the router port for my PC (as expected) but there is just about as much activity on the port for the other PC even if the other PC is not running. Evidently my PC is doing something on both ports.
By "activity" I mean that the Link/Act light blinks on the router (Linksys BEFSX41). This router has a separate set of lights for each of the 4 ports.

My PC does not have anything "mounted" over the LAN from the other PC although I can do that. That is, the other PC is visible in "My Network Places". WinXP Home, SP2

So, is the activity on the other port normal?

    Curiously,
    Larry
