I have been reading as much as I can on these forums and now I am stumped. I have a wrt54gs that I have had for awhile. About a month ago I went with the Talisman firware upgrade. Now my wife works from home and we have used a Belkin wired router for the connection and never had a problem. I put in the linksys and her VPN went to hell. After some long phone calls with her corporation MIS boys we determined that the linksys for whatever reason caused her a problem and not the other 4 computers on our home network.
I still wanted the wireless so I read as much as could to turn it into a A/P. everything worked fine for her but now after a few minutes the wireless computer loses internet connection and to boot the wired ones still on the Belkin do to. what is really crazy is my wife's laptop is on the Belkin also but stays rock solid on her VPN can someone please put me in the right direction
    Thanks so much

:thumb: Well if anyone cares.....I dropped the talisman in favor of Hyperwrt and the problems went away. Put in the same settings as I had in the Sveasoft firmware but everything is staying put.

I have 2 WRT54G, one in each location, and I am trying to set up a VPN, but I don't know how.
    How did you do it?

Basically I followed some direction from the guys from her MIS department and the suggestions on getting VPN's up an running on these forums. In the firmware there are settings for allowing the VPN to exist. Someone please correct me but the term I believe is VPN tunneling.. I have let the computers stay up now and everything is rock solid. Wish I could be more help I am a real newbie to this so all I can suggest is read, read read here.
