Dual Routers 55Ag through a SR81

I have my home network setup though a BEFSR81, which feeds a line to my office in a remote area of the house. I have a WRT54GS at the end of the line which provides a wired PC and my laptop wireless. It works and well at that.

I want to upgrade the WRT54GS to a WRT55AG. The PC and Laptop connect to the 55AG fine, but the 55AGs DHCP can not acquire an IP address etc from the SR81, so no internet. I've even tried a FIXED IP method and it failed to connect.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I am not doing correctly? Are these incompatible? I can't see why given the 54GS works and I configured the 55AG identically to the setting used on the 54GS

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm kinda new to this, but doesn't turning off the DCHP server on the WRT55AG fixes that?(downsize you're one port short on the WRT55AG)
