Has anyone tried or adapted these scripts on Tomato with any luck? http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Dual_WAN_with_failover In my case, and I believe in most cases, dual WAN isn't really necessary to have a failover connection. Most modems have router and switch built into them so the main router (WAN static 192.168.1.3) could be connected to the primary modems LAN (static 192.168.1.1) and the secondary modem LAN (static 192.168.1.2) could also be connected to the primary modems LAN. (Or an external switch could be used.) When the primary connection is down the main router would just have to change its static gateway - and possibly DNS and bandwidth limits for QOS.
