I got blacklisted by DynDNS becuase the WAG54G was updating too often.

Has this happened to anyone else and is there a frimware fix for this?

Just being curious, how often was "too often"?

My ISP forces an IP change every 3 days maximum (sometimes it even changes more than once per day) and while I don't use the router's firmware to update, I do have a program on my file "server" that checks IP every hour in the background and update to DynDNS.org when necessary.

I don't know how often the linksys does it and I don't know how often is too often for DynDNS.org.

According to http://www.dyndns.org/support/abuse.html, it sounds like the firmware may have been updating on a timed interval regardless of whether or not the IP has been changed.

If it is possible, try running an update client application on one of your computers instead of the firmware - many of them give more control over the update than the firmware is capable of.
