E4200 - external access to media

    Hi, new to the forum, and just purchased a Linksys E4200. I've connected an external HD to the USB storage part and am using it for files and UPnP media streaming on the local network.

    What I really want is to be able to stream music over the internet so I can access my music at work. Linksys tech support says the router does not support streaming over internet, just local network.

    I'm hoping someone here knows of a workaround.

    how do you intend on playing the streamed music? pc, iphone, ipad???

    iPhone, mostly. I have a UPnP player that I use on the local network already.
