E900 with tomato

    Hello all,
Recently i decided to purchase an E1550 and seen that tomato was available to this unit for testing, so i'm thinking to myself - great, i love the way tomato works on my E2000 and E3000, well so far with the E1550 i am unable to run tomato on it and flashing any of the test builds results in a bricked unit in which i can only recover using a serial connection to the router *yikes*

If these newer linksys E~ series units are to new still for tomato, i could still go with E2000 or E3000, but i find these newer E~ series run alot cooler than their previous cousins, my E2000 and E3000 run pretty warm, whereas my E1550 barely gets warm at all, so i would prefer to run the newer E series. So my question is: Has anyone flashed tomato to an E900 and are successfully running it? I also am not above getting serial outputs for any of these units so we can get tomato working on them. Thanks to the team that puts together this great firmware, you guys are great!

You posted a link to my thread regarding my already current situation with the E1550, this post has nothing to do with the E1550, its entirely different question here regarding the E900, so do you have an answer to my question other than posting something that i am already currently enduring?

I have google around and try to find if this unit will not brick using tomato, but i am not having much luck finding reports - i see some inconclusive reports regarding a model closely related, but will continue looking before i make this purchase on the E900.

I've been having excellent success with the E900. My test unit is currently running Shibby's 'Max' version as it has all the features I wanted.

Good luck with the router, they seem to work quite well.

Excellent, yes i really wanted to hear from someone that actually has the E900 to report of success, so mega thanks for that.

    tomato-E900-NVRAM64K-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-106-Max ? for your e900?

Tried Tomato ver. 1.28.x with E900, spent too much time with DD-WRT while configuring SIP but no success, Tomato by Shibby is Rock solid, although Toastman also works well, so far so good with SIP.

    Tomato Rocks.

So sorry for the VERY long time to reply.. I have run 106-max (and 109-max) on some the 900s that I look after. Both the Toastman (502.6) and Shibby (109-max) work great.
