Does it have to be e-mail? Why not use a service like DynDNS (register a free domain there) and let the router use the auto updating service (DDNS) to update your domain IP when the IP changes?

OK, so just set it up and give your uncles the Dyndns (or whatever service you use) domain. It will be updated and they can pull the IP from the domain address.

I've used DYNDNS for nearly 2 years with the auto update feature and never missed a beat when out on the road SSHing home to the router using the Dyndns domain.

https://www.dyndns.com/ is the one that I use. No issues with their service (FREE) and no issues updating my account with a new IP from the router.
