Is it possible to exclude a computer (my server) from the skypetoskype L7 QoS rule? Torrent traffic sneaks in at voip/game priority...

The way QoS works on Tomato is for each connection, the firmware goes down the list until the first match. You could set a rule and place it right above skypetoskype for your server to include all TCP/UDB ports from 1024-65535.

That will help if the P2P doesn't switch to using ports under 1024 ..

Skype did something yesterday here, skypetoskype traffic was not being trapped by the L7 rule. Later, some of it was, about 50%. Not sure if they have changed some of their protocols.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already tried that with the L7 filter for torrents without much success. Right now torrents are under unspecified/bulk, which works just fine.

Anyway, I solved it now by specifying "Src IP" for the skypetoskype L7 rule and excluding the server. Back to 28ms gaming while there's full upload/download on torrents/ftp and simultaneous video streaming! :)

The skypetoskype L7 filter has been occasionally catching torrent traffic since i started using your QoS a year ago. In my home I can solve it by excluding the torrent computers, but how you will solve it when you have no control of what's going on in specific computers...
Either the bittorrent or the skypetoskype L7 filters need some work, I think.

By the way, thanks for the great job on the firmware!
