    Hello

I'm about to buy used WRT54GS v4 with loaded tomato firmware on it. I wonder if this firmware can force this device act as AP client... i mean... I want to receive wireless with WR54GS and spread it on LAN ports. Is it possible?

Maybe is it also possible to receive wireless with 1 antenna and repeat it wit another one... so the received wireless signal is being spread through LAN ports and ALSO REPEATED WIRELESS so:

I can receive wireless with WRT54GS and have for example one computer connected with RJ45 to WRT54GS and laptop connected to WRT54GS using PCMCIA 802.1g wf-fi card... HELP PLEASE I can't have much time to wonder.

If WRT54GS v4 cannot do this, can WRT54G or WRT54GL or WRT54GS can but with other GPL firmware????

    Thanks in advance
    Tom

Yes, you can use it as AP-Client. It will route the wirelessly received internet to the LAN ports.
Yes, it can act as wireless repeater, but that depends on what device do you have as main.

I would like act WR54GS simoultanously v4 as AP client to receive signal from some wireless network and THEN:

route it through LAN ports (what You said is possible) to PC AND route signal (not repeat... but route) at the same time thorugh wireless to my home laptop... do You understand? This could be look like below:

Is it possible on this router with TOMATO firmware? Or not possible on this router neither on TOMATO?
