Really, I finally got it working. I have crashed this thing at least once a week. Tried every firmware I could find. Somehow I got 1.05.8beta to install without trouble. I even have the usb drive working. NTFS format 250 gb.
The cool part is using the router I can access and wright to the ntfs formated disk using my Mac. My media server will not read Mac formated disk, and the file size limit of fat32 is killing me.
I put stargate season 5,6,7 on the hd. wired or wireless the video's will stop for just a second, kind of like directv with bad weather. Monitoring my network I can see the Kib drop. It will be running around 6 or 8 hundred drop to less than 2, shoot over 1.4, this bouncing around is causing the video to freeze. Long way to get there, but is there anyway to control these jumps? The drive and video's are fine.I can connect straight to the media server, they play fine. I can't access the hd while connected to the server. Have to pull it to upload files. I would like to keep it connected to the 350n but for the problems.

    Thanks for the help

Unfortunately I can not offer you any help but I can offer you sympathy based on mutual experience. The USB will eventually freeze as will the network at another time no matter what firmware you use. Basically the WRT350N is crap. I'm sorry I bought it. I'm sorry I didn't realize this fact within the time period where I could have returned it to the store for a refund. I kept thinking that I was doing something wrong and that I could fix the problem. I can't and I'm starting to think that Linksys can't either. 7 months since their last firmware update and version 2 hardware released in Europe all say that to me.
