    Hi there!
I just recently bought a new Linksys WRV54G running firmware WRV54G_R2_37EU_10122004, which is,
according to www.linksys.de the latest available one. www.linksys.com says that the latest version is

My question now: is 2.39.2 for US market only or am I able to use it on an european version
of the router (note the EU in 2.37)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bug fixes and minor variations between revisions aside, the main difference between US and EU versions is channels 12 and 13 on the latter.

@iceman77: Thanks, but I'm from germany (hence the .de) and I'm currently running that 2.37 EU FW.

@Esquire: So if I get you right, I can flash my router with 2.39.2 (not EU) and change my WLAN channel to everything below 13 with no interference at all?

    Hi all, just FYI:

I flashed my EU WRV54G with the latest (2.39.2) firmware from
www.linksys.com with no problems at all. Internet connection works
like a charm and my three configured VPNs to this router are rock
solid, plus the one going from the router to a corporate firewall
    (astaro security gateway).
The only thing to do was a reset to factory defaults after flashing the
firmware and a manual reconfiguration (including the usual reboots).
