I just saw a friend who had Tomato and I am impressed with it so I am wondering if I can do the same with my WRT160N v1. I could really use the better QoS features because I share my internet.

As a first-timer loading any firmware I need some help.

    1. Which tomato version would you recommend? I have been looking at Toastmaster's releases and I think I need a Kernel 2.4 MIPSR1?
    2. Do I have to load DD-WRT to install Tomato?
    3. If I do, then is this http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT150N_&_WRT160N the right set of instructions and file?

It's not complete, but Shibby's router list is helpful if your model is included:

Your model is R1, but you can use either 2.4 or 2.6. With less than 4mb flash, you'll need to take one of the "mini" builds. Don't think you need to preflash DD.
