    Hey everyone,

I've seriously mucked up my wireless settings and I'm trying to go back to stock. My 5GHz #2 network doesn't work at all, my 5GHz #1 network is slow, and my 2.4GHz network is unusable.

I messed with too many country / channel # / channel width / and broadcast amplitude settingsand now I'm stuck with bad wifi so I'd like to start over.

The problem is I can't find the Asus firmware restoration utility. It's not available to download under any OS listing that I can see on the Asus support page for the router.

Additionally, I found this very helpful article which says to use a 'stripped' stock Asus firmware file and flash that directly inside of Tomato but a google search for 'ac3200 stripped firmware' doesn't seem to produce any significant results.

    So here are my questions:

    • Is it safe to just flash the latest AC3200 firmware file directly from Asus in the Tomato update page even though it probably contains firmware + bootloader image combined?
    • Can someone upload the Asus Firmware Restoration Utility for the AC3200 that I can use to put flash the latest stock firmware while it's in recovery mode?
    • Or can someone direct me to a download link for a stripped firmware file for the AC3200 that I can flash directly in Tomato?

    Thanks!

upload with Tomato firmware old Rmerlin firmware and then OFW will be safer.

People signal that it is difficult to return to the alternative firmware, Asus ;-) makes it difficult

Right now I've installed Merlin and I'm working with that right now. I think it's solved all of my issues actually. Now I just need to figure out how to get a CRON job going for my DDNS service...
