    Hey..

    I've read about compatibility models and firmwares, about MIPS(R1/R2) and other things. I have 'Asus WL-500gp V2' router with USB.

    Just to be sure about flashing a Tomato RAF firmware:
    - I should reset original asus configuration
    - I can flash router using router's web page (upload new firmware)
    - I should reset (erase NVRAM) after flashing the router
    - Asus WL-500GP v2 is 'MIPSR1 with 8MB flash memory' and supports both K24/K26 kernels
    - I can use one of these firmwares:
    * (K24) Tomato RAF 1.28.8520 ND + USB + VPN
    Version for ASUS WL-500gP, 520gU and in general for MIPSR1 USB Routers
    * (K26) Tomato RAF 1.28.9006 USB+VPN+Captive Portal
    Version for ASUS WL-500gP v1 & v2 and in general for MIPSR1 USB Routers with 8MB flash
    * (K26) Tomato RAF 1.28.8800 USB+BT
    Version for ASUS WL-500gP v1 & v2 and in general for MIPSR1 USB Routers with 8MB flash & Transmission (BT)

    Am I right? Or am I going to make a new brick ;-)

    Can you please tell me how to flash the Asus WL-500gP V2 router with Tomato ? I am a newbie at it, but based on everything I hear, I would like to do it. I do understand the basics well (I can plug in static IP on the PC and make sure they are connected correctly). Any step by step direction (including the correct files) would help much. Thank you in advance.
