Forwarding of Port 80

Port forwarding is working fine with the exception of port 80. I am trying to forward port 80 to an internal web server. The router just seems to ignore the port forwarding setup for port 80 completely. I ssh'd into the router and checked the iptables setup. The forwarding rule looks good, just like the rules for other ports. However, any attempt to connect to the webserver from the WAN side fails. Any idea? Oh by the way, I even killed the routers own http temporarily to make sure it's not the reason for the problem.

does your ISP block port 80 perhaps?

Hmmm - good question. It's been working a year ago or so with a different router. Who knows, maybe Charter has closed it down by now. They even block the SMTP port outgoing so you have to use the Charter SMTP server.

You might be right though. If so, I need to figure out how to run my Sun Cobalt's web server on a different port or figure out how to map ports on the WRT.
