I've setup my ftp server on the Asus RT-N16 so I can share pictures/files/movies with
family. I've tried it myself and it works, just haven't sent them my priv key yet.

I've generated keys from putty with no password and pasted to Tomato.
When connecting with putty, login: comes up so I type root and no password.
Putty goes through. Why would it ask for login when I did not use password for putty when I generated the key?
Shouldn't it be login: admin and the password I entered in Admin>Access?

So the procedure is launch putty then open ftp client and upload/download files which works.

I haven't used sftp. Is it possible to cut the process in half by just launching
an sftp client to bypass putty, and use the keys from tomato generated
from putty for the sftp client to use?

I'm just trying to simplify the process or steps to connect securely.
