Ok, I have spent several days going over and over info on various sites to find what I need but can't find exactly what I want, so I'm turning to you guys for advice.

I know it's possible to run asterisk as a slimmed down VoIP SIP P
BX on a WRT54G, but what I'm interested in is adding FXO capability to the box so that one can use a standard PSTN line for incoming and outgoing calls as well as SIP for extensions and incoming/outgoing calls. Here's my concept:

As my WRT has an unused mini PCI slot I'll use a mini PCI to PCI converter to get a 3.3 and 5v PCI slot, mounting them in the chassis of my old, fried 16 port linksys switch (which BTW has the same stackable case as the WRT, so will look fairly clean).

In one PCI slot I can put a Digium Wildcard FXO PCI card for PSTN FXO capability and the other PCI slot can house an ATA RAID card. Slap in the 2 60GB laptop hard disks that I have lying around, and I can use these for virtual RAM, voicemail, etc.

Does this sound feasable to anyone. Probably will have to upgrade the RAM of the WRT, but If I can get this thing to work it would be freakin' awesome.

Let me know what you guys think. :help:
