    Hello all,
I'm trying to get SSH working between my computer and my router running Tomato.

I generated the following key using 'ssh-keygen':
    Code:
    ssh-dss AAAAB<snip>Gbr2Q= Alex@ARK.local

I then copied and pasted it into the 'Authorized Keys' form field and saved and started SSH.

    I then ran 'ssh 192.168.1.1'
and got the following prompt: 'Alex@192.168.1.1's password: '

I put in the passphrase I used to make the key, but I get 'Permission denied, please try again.'

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Make sure you pasted the public key into tomato, not the private key. Make sure the private key you pasted doesn't contain any line feeds (all one long line that may display wrapped).

And you will need to use
    ssh root@192.168.1.1
