Giving up on the WRT54Gv5. What should I get?

Too many issues getting the router to work for me. After seeing the same issues as others on here, ie, downstream slowdown, and the inability to get the playstation 2 to work with it, I'm taking it back.

What should I get to replace it? I'm not after anything amazing, just something that works!

    If you want a WRT54G:

    - If you can find a V4, that's probably the best bang for your buck, since it's a WRT54GS with 16MB of memory, and only lacks aftermarket firmware to enable the SpeedBoost.

    - Next best is a WRT54GS V4, same hardware, higher price.

    - Other option is the WRT54GL, which is identical to the two above.

    If you want a WRT54GS:

    - Try to find something earlier than a V4, since it had 32MB before V4 castrated it.

Thanks for the input. I think I might try and stay with linksys b/c i like the possibility of using 3rd party firmware to add functionality...
