Well my last WRT54G died yesterday while I was at work...and my wonderful wife thought it was her fault and bought me a wrt300N. She was so proud of herself for replacing it all by herself and thought she had gotten me a better router. Well, I cannot run tomato on it and there is no external logging.....and I cannot take it back it would hurt her feelings...so no more tomato's for me ...so long. :(

This stresses the importance of having a wish list of (tech) stuff that's shared with the spouse.

wrt300n will probably have future support since it's mentioned in the source code..
 - you're not gone yet..

When I first saw this thread, "goodbye All", I though someone had a "terminal" disease and was saying his goodbyes, donating his Tomato routers to charity, before leaving this world! :-(

Seriously, I think eventually, when 802.11n routers are cheaper and more abundant, it'll be ported to them.

Can't you replace it without her knowing?

I resemble that remark, ;-D Actually it's not impossible but difficult. First, handle all transactions in cash. Second, make sure the router looks as identicle as possible. To the extent it differs, you'll have to hide it to that degree. Nearly identical, put in dark corner. Lights differ, cover with tape or turn around. Big flat rectangular middle antenna, well, that might be a deal killer, unless you can lock it away from sight, :-D

I still have the SpongBob SquarePants steering wheel cover on my beloved Oldsmobile I got for father day a couple years ago.

See ya around when the 300n gets supported.

Put BOTH your WIFE & the WRT300N on eBay, and buy yourself a new Tomato Router and a new car from the proceeds :) Just kidding...
