I got a router from a friend (WRT54GS) and when I followed the set-up, I couldnt access the Admin Page as he had already set up the router for his old laptop...

I leave the username blank and the password as "admin", but it doesnt work!

On my wireless connections, I can see "O Neill", his name for the router.

Can I clear everything off this and start a-fresh!?

You need to do a factory reset, I ferget the exact way but i think you simply power off the router, depress the reset button (will be a very small hole on the back of the unit) and while depressing the button turn the power back on the release the button after about 10 seconds. I know someone will correct me if that is wrong but its going to be very close.

Press and hold the reset button on the back for 30 seconds. Wait about a minute for the router to cycle back up and then try to login in again. Username blank : Password admin

Correction: :) No need to unplug it. Just press and hold the button.

I enjoy coming here and reading posts.... Everyone is so friendly. Unlike Linksys.com where they can be so anal most times. :)
