    As most posts seem to go unanswered in what seems to usually be correct forums, I'ma post in the general discussion.

    In HairyDairyMaid Debrick JTAG thingy, there are a load of optonal parameters as detailed below.

    Everywhere you go, peopel seem to say to use /noerase, or more recently /noemw for every single line without question when doing anything in HDM's debricker.

    Can someone give some kind of explanation of
    • what they do in more detail than given in the below quoted docs. "/noemw = prevent Enabling Memory Writes; /noerase = prevent Forced Erase before Flashing";
    • if it's really necessary for the most part;
    • if and when it actually is necessary;
    • what would happen if i just did the "required parameters" without these optional parameters.

    Its all pretty much use at own risk. This utility is generally used all over the community and there are varying opinions on optimal or recommended commands you should run.
