The v1.0 has 20 leds on the front panel

v1.1 and v2.0 have 8 leds and are basically the same. the serial numbers do differ though. any that start with CDF5 are version 2.0

also try looking at this page on your router.

u open ports via port forwarding. are you saying ALL ports are closed?

are you doing a hard reset after upgrading firmware?

    btw i have v1.0 also.

    differences are as follows.

    Version 1.0
    • BCM4702 MIPS CPU
      BCM4306 802.11a/b/g MAC processor
      BCM2050 802.11b/g radio transceiver
MAC processor and radio unit on separate mini-PCI card 125 MHz MIPS processor
      20 LEDs on Front Panel

    Version 1.1
    • BCM4702
      BCM4306
      BCM2050
      All chips on main board
      125 MHz MIPS processor
      8 LEDs on Front Panel

    Version 2.0
    • BCM4712
      integrates BCM4702, BCM4306, BCM2050 into one chip
      200 MHz MIPS processor
      integrated Ethernet
      8 LEDs on Front Panel

the v2.0 would i suppose be the best due to a faster processor but overall i dont think it matters that much. a WRT54GS would be better i guess.

here in the EU there are no v2.0 afaik. so we shall have to wait until end of may/june for the WRT54GS to be released

Just wondering how you found out your port forwarding wasn't working.

That's how I would have done it too.

My 1.0 port forwarding works fine, however.
